Welcome to the first blog of 2020! I hope everyone has had an exciting new year thus far. If one of your goals for this year is to get outside, get moving, and enjoy this beautiful place we call home then I have just the spot for you: Cabrillo National Monument! I know what you’re thinking, “hasn’t this guy ranted on the greatness of this spot before?” The answer is “yes.” Last year I shared the wonders of the tide-pool side of the park, but now we’re on the city side, which is a whole new adventure.
As you walk out from the parking lot the first building in your path will be the visitor’s center which is packed with all kinds of books and historical aspects to learn about. There are even National Park Rangers there to act as guides for tours around the entire center. Right outside the center is what the people come for…amazing panoramic views of all of San Diego. Everything from Coronado Island, the military base, the San Diego airport, and even Mexico. It is truly just breathtaking!
Once you get your breath back you can walk on over to the statue right next to it of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo. Climbing out of his boat and onto shore in 1542, he stepped into history as the first European to set foot on what is now the west coast of the United States. Pretty exciting stuff!
To get in those steps there are two hiking trails. The longer of the two is the Bayview hiking trail, but if you are looking for something a little shorter, you can head on the path up to the beautiful Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Fun fact: the Old Point Loma Lighthouse is now one of the main draws for visitors to CNM, but back in the day its very existence was once questioned and it was neglected and threatened with demolition! Strange to think of this beloved landmark not being there.
Next to the lighthouse is a whale watching center with incredible vistas of the ocean. In December through March you have great chances of viewing the whales in action down below. As you can see there are so many reasons to go back time and time again to the Cabrillo National Monument. It is endless fun for you and your family!
Check out my newest, exciting listing in Valley Center. It’s an incredible property. Three bedrooms, three full baths upstairs, a full bathroom downstairs, tons of entertaining space, an incredible pool and jacuzzi, sitting on over five acres of beautiful, stunning, usable land, with incredible views. Let’s go have a look. Check it out.
If you enjoyed the views and the amenities of this incredible property here in Valley Center half as much as I enjoyed showing you, give me a call, I would love to give you some more information and show you in person, that’s even more impressive. In the meantime, have a great day. I look forward to hearing from you.

I know you know me, but do you know what I do?? And, no, I am not a professor or flight attendant anymore!
I have actually been a realtor based in sunny San Diego for the last 12 years, and I love what I do. People I know trust me with their friends, family, and colleagues. What most people do not realize is that, though I live in San Diego, I actually conduct business all over the USA and Canada.
In Real Estate, it matters who you work with in order to get a good deal! So, weather you are buying or selling, it is important to surround yourself with terrific advice from years of proven experience.
I am here to be your resource, so if you have any questions, please reach out!!
For the past 10+ years more than 90% of my business has come from you guys – my past clients and referrals! And, now I would like to return the favor.
I am coming up with a list of trusted vendors and businesses. That way, when the opportunity arises, I can refer my network to businesses that I know and trust.
Here’s how it works. Step 1: What do you do? Let me know who you are and what your business does. Step 2: If you are local to the San Diego area, I will feature you on my video series as a free commercial for your business. No matter where you are located, I will feature you on my website so people in my network can find you and your business!
I can’t wait to collaborate with you guys. And, remember, if you’re looking to buy or sell real estate in San Diego, the United States, or Canada, be sure to let me know! I can help.
I love working out. It’s one of my passions and has become part of my daily routine. It helps me build muscle, control weight and stay healthy, while boosting my energy and mental wellbeing. You can regularly find me before sunrise at the 24 Hour Fitness on Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest. The Hillcrest gym provides a convenient location filled with positive energy and dedicated personal trainers.
